I have a question about a breed of dog?

hey there i just got a lab/pit mix, i was wondering how their temperment usually is? can they get aggressive like a pit or do they stay more calm like a lab? im only asking because i live in omaha and over the past few years theres been like a handful of pitbull attacks. So far the dog seems really sweet but i think its just because she isnt used to the place yet.
