What EXCITING things are there for OLDER TEENS in the DC area?

Sorry to sound so aggressive in my question, I really am not, I'm just getting frustrated with the answers Ive been reading on Yahoo, so I made my own account. It seems like only adults are answering these questions not bearing in mind that when we want to get away from our usual routine of dinner and movies at a friends house and actually explore the area we live in, we are disappointed to find that there is nothing to do! We don't want to go to museums, or monuments, or take a walk, or see nice architecture in a stroll through georgetown, or see historic sights like JFK's grave...we want FUN! funky costume shops and offbeat clubs and Places to eat that have something to them or places that offer active things to do like a mini golf place...can anyone help me escape a boring weekend???
