External Hard Drive recognition issue!?

I have a 1.5 tb WD EHD. The light blinks normally as it should when plugged in and out. However the computer as well as other computers stopped recognizing the drive. It has been working for a while until I was copying over files and the folder went into no-response mode and i closed it. Following that the drive has not been recognizable since, please help!
