Question about the E.P.T pregnancy test?

i bought the ept and used one this morning when i opened it it already had the negative line in the result window but no line in the working window so i used it i saw what might have been a very very very very very light positive...can i trust this test? im not getting my hopes up i will retest but i was wondering if this was normal for the ept test
